Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Used to remember your cookie preference so we don't ask again on every page. We store a single key in your browser's localStorage named gdpr-consent-v1. This is not transmitted to any server.

Experiment assignment

For a one-week experiment we store a first-party cookie named ab_photos. Its value is control, photos, day, or photos-day, so the same browser keeps one version instead of flipping on every page. The cookie expires at the end of October 26, 2026 (Pacific time). It is not shared with an ad network. Search crawlers are not given a version.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-7R9BK6C8FN) sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to measure how visitors use the site. Cookies expire after up to 2 years. Data is processed by Google in line with Google's privacy policy.

Advertising

We display ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense and its downstream advertising partners use cookies and similar identifiers to:

• Decide which ad to show you.
• Measure ad performance, attribution, and frequency.
• Detect invalid traffic and fraud.
• Build interest profiles for personalized advertising (with consent where required).

Cookies set by these services are first-party (e.g., from llmhardware.io) and third-party (e.g., from googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net). Expirations vary by partner but typically range from a session up to 13 months.

Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you visit from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. Until you accept, those cookies are blocked under Google Consent Mode v2. You can change your decision at any time by clearing your stored consent (see "Opting out" below) and reloading the site.

Affiliate tracking

When you click affiliate links on LLMHardware.io (to Amazon and other retailers), those retailers may set their own cookies to track your purchase and attribute a commission to us. These cookies are set by those third-party sites, not by LLMHardware.io, and are subject to their respective privacy policies.

Opting out

You can manage cookies in several ways:

• Clear our locally stored consent: open your browser's developer tools, navigate to Application > Local Storage > https://llmhardware.io, and delete the gdpr-consent-v1 key. The consent banner will appear on your next visit.
